- You can download license keys or license files for Broadcom, CA, Symantec, and VMware products from the Broadcom Support Portal.

How to generate SLF files
- You can generate Symantec SLF license files on the Broadcom Support Portal.
Unable to view my license files on the Support Portal or cannot view the entire licensing portfolio under "My Entitlements"
- Ensure that your account has access to all the Site IDs for your company.
- If you don't have Site IDs linked to your account, raise an Additional Site Access request. To get access to the Site ID you may follow the instructions of the following articles:

How to activate license keys
- Instructions for activating the license file are not the same for all products. For any assistance in activating the license file, Please refer How to activate license keys - Symantec.
How to link components/Software add-ons for Network Protection (Bluecoat) Appliances
- To link a software add-on to an appliance, refer to Add-Ons Linking/De-Linking to the Symantec Appliances.
Add-on missing under the "Software add-on" tab for Network Protection (Bluecoat) appliances on the portal

How to perform Cold Swap for Network Protection (Bluecoat) products
- To perform a license swap between hardware appliances, refer to article Perform a license swap for Broadcom hardware appliances.
Cannot perform a license swap or Spare Unit/Cold Standby is missing under the "Swap" tab
- If the Spare Unit is missing under the “Swap” tab, refer Cannot perform a License Swap - Symantec.

- We no longer support this functionality. A new license (with a combined or separated count) can be created at the next renewal. If you need any clarifications, contact your Sales Account Manager or Partner.

- Note: If site keys are being used, an EKG license key is no longer required. The site keys can be used for disaster recovery testing.

How to install or activate Mainframe EKG Keys?
I’m getting key expiration emails from the system. How do I proceed?
- If your contract is perpetual based, then the existing license keys provided originally will work.
- If your contact is subscription based, new keys are required. To get the new keys, contact Broadcom Customer Care
My contract has been renewed. Do we need new keys to run our product?
Where can I find Dev codes, Material codes, and descriptions for LMP product keys?
We have recently migrated to the new machine (CPU), do we require a new key?
- If the existing key is a site key, then the existing license keys provided originally will work. If it is a machine-specific key, then new keys are required. To get the new keys, contact Broadcom Customer Care.
