Important: Before you begin

Before you can generate and download license keys, you must have a valid Site ID and Build/upgrade your account.

  1. Obtain a Broadcom Site ID
  2. Create a Basic User Account
  3. Build your profile to unlock additional services
  4. Adding additional Broadcom Site IDs to an existing profile

Resolution

License keys are available on the Broadcom Support Portal. Once authenticated with a valid Site ID, you can download products that you are entitled to and generate new license keys for the below Divisions

  • Mainframe Software
  • Enterprise Software
  • Cybersecurity Software
  • Payment Security Software
  • VMware Cloud Foundation
  • Tanzu
  • Application Networking and Security

To access license keys

After getting access to a valid Site ID, follow these steps to generate and download your license keys from the My Entitlements page:

  1. Login to the Broadcom Support - My Dashboard

  2. In the left menu, click My Entitlements.

  3. In the search box, search by product name, serial number (Symantec), Site ID, or keyword. Or, for entitled products, expand the Site Name, Site ID, or drop-down arrow.



  4. Click the Entitlement Details tab to go to the License page.



    In addition to the Contract Status, Start Date, and End Date, you have the following options on the License page.




  5. Click on the Licenses icon.



  6. Under Active Keys > Action, click the download icon.

    Keys are either downloaded or generated, depending on the product you've selected.

CA licenses

For CA products, the licensing section displays one of the following options:

  • Download License - For products where machine details are not required.
  • Enter Machine Details - For products requiring machine details to generate a license file.
  • No Key Required - For products where the latest release is keyless.
  • Case Number - For products where manual keys were generated and emailed to the Shipping Contact of the Contract.

Note: Entitlement records may expand to multiple lines if there are inactive/expired records for the entitlement – the dates and status will indicate which record is active. 

Symantec licenses

For Symantec products such as Symantec Endpoint Protection, Data Loss Prevention, and others, including those that use Symantec License Files (SLF), see the following:

SaaS product licenses

Once your SaaS product is provisioned, Broadcom sends a separate email with the required links and license information. 

Unable to find my licenses

Renew expired license keys

Frequently Asked Questions


Q. Following our renewal, having received a new Site ID from Broadcom, will this new Site ID automatically be reflected in my entitlements page?

A. The new Site ID will not be reflected automatically on your entitlements page. To request access, Refer to Adding additional Broadcom Site IDs to an existing profile

Q. I see the new contract details in My entitlements, But don't see the new keys in the VMware licensing folders or getting error "Missing appropriate permissions to view"

A. Once a new order has been processed, the associated license key(s) will be placed in the HOME folder. Should you encounter issues accessing or viewing these license keys due to insufficient permissions, Refer to Missing appropriate permissions to view the VMware license keys

Q. I get the message "Access Denied" This feature has been disabled by your administrator 

A. User Administrators possess the authority to disable user access to common services like Downloads, Licensing, and Case Management. Reach out to your User Administrator to request access enablement.. If you are a user admin, please refer to Manage user permissions and Site ID access as a User Administrator
 

Q. I have access to the site ID but unable to see anything in the My entitlements page

A. If you have site ID access and your support contracts have expired, uncheck the 'Active' checkbox on the entitlements page to view inactive products. Refer, Unable to view licenses or download products for Broadcom, CA, Symantec, or VMware products
