Issue/Introduction

This cumulative point fix article contains fixes for SMP (Symantec Management Platform) and other Solutions for issues resolved for customers with ITMS 8.8 RTM (GA) until the next ITMS version is released/installed.

Included in pointfix v4 release	Manage Software Delivery's schedule Start date decrements when Saved if TimeZone is set to Coordinate using UTC	Fixed an issue related to: When creating a Managed Software Delivery Policy and setting a schedule for Compliance, if using Timezone="Coordinate using UTC", then going into the Advanced option, and selecting a Start date that is a past date or a future date, once you select OK and Save Changes the date decrements by one day as seen by going back into the Advanced option.  If you set the date to today's date this does not occur.

Included in pointfix v5 release	ITMS SMA Site info goes to N/A	Fixed an issue where: Client machines occasionally lose "Site Info" in the SMA UI, which then randomly reappears after 4-7 days. The Site Info displaying as "N/A" in the SMA UI.
Included in pointfix v5 release	Upgrade ITMS failed. A lot of process w3wp started during configuration	Fixed an issue related to: During an upgrade, Net. Framework generates an exception for "out of memory". A lot of process w3wp started during upgrade. Fixed the incorrect IIS module upgrade sequence, so IIS module ends up recycling its w3wp.exe process only to load the same version of IIS module and recycle it again.

Included in pointfix v10 release	Core Performance shows Active Threads at 0 or 1 with lots of NSE's to process	Enhancements have been implemented to reduce the impact of short-duration database connectivity interruptions on long-running functionality. A new core setting has been introduced to control database connection behavior: SmpTopContextMode 0 – No optimization of database connection usage 1 – Optimized (default) 2 – Balanced optimization For environments experiencing intermittent SQL connectivity issues, it is recommended to start with a value of 2 (Balanced) to evaluate performance and stability. If the issue persists, the setting can be adjusted to 0 to disable connection optimizations.

SMF (Software Management Framework) Fixes:

Included in pointfix v1 release	Changed Schedule is not replicated for Targeted Software Inventory policy	Fixed an issue around: While using Custom Targeted Software Inventory to gather data from clients, when initially this policy is created and replicated down in hierarchy to child - it would replicate the schedule. But if we would later wanted to change the schedule - new changes would be no longer replicated.

INV (Inventory and Application Metering Solution) Fixes:

Included in pointfix v2 release	Inventory Agent - Update SQLite to the latest version with security fixes	Updated SQLite from 3.49.1 to 3.50.4
Included in pointfix v3 release	Standalone Package tries to run 64bit InvSoln.exe on 32bit machine. Standalone package with enabled 'Show progress' checkbox crashes on 32bit Windows XP. SAMDriver signed by new Microsoft certificates	Updated Application Metering Agent (Windows 11 24H2 Compatibility) This Pointfix (PF) updates the Application Metering Agent with a Microsoft-signed 64-bit SAMDriver. This ensures continued functionality following Microsoft's driver security changes introduced in Windows 11 version 24H2 and later (see Microsoft Tech Community Announcement). Deployment Note: Upon applying this PF and updating the agent, the new driver will target affected 64-bit machines only. Windows versions older than 11 24H2 (Build 26100) will unaffected and will continue using the legacy driver.

ASSET (Asset Management Solution) Fixes:

Included in pointfix v1 release	Asset owners should show DisplayName in EditCreateResource page.	Fixed an issue related to: If you go to Computer resource > right click > Edit > Asset Owner shows resource name from "RM_ResourceComputer" instead of "DisplayName" which creates confusion for customer especially after Cloud synchronization.
