Issue/Introduction

After capturing a disk image, the Package Server it was captured from has the image but one or more separate package servers that should have a copy show a healthy/ready package but the cache folder in Package Delivery is empty.

In some instances, the correct package size is also shown but no files exist in cache folder.

Environment

Deployment Solution 8.8 GA

ITMS 8.8

Cause

The issue appears to a bug related to package snapshot refresh issues which causes package servers to use the incorrect version of the snapshot

Deleting the package GUID folder on affected Package Servers may cause the server to re-download the correct snapshot version

Resolution

Developers have released a point fix for 8.8 GA which is available from the following link:

CUMULATIVE POST ITMS 8.8 RTM(GA) POINT FIXES

After installing/applying the point fix, the Symantec Management Agent and Package Server agent need to be upgraded on clients and Package Servers. There is also a need to rebuild any Pre-boot WinPE configurations and reinstall Automation Folders if used.
