Issue/Introduction

This cumulative point fix article contains fixes for SMP (Symantec Management Platform) and other Solutions for issues resolved for customers with ITMS 8.8 RTM (GA) until the next ITMS version is released/installed.

SMP/SMA (Symantec Management Platform/Symantec Management Agent) Fixes:

Client not receiving CEM policy while its in correct Target	400051
Top 10 Most run reports & Longest running reports - Unknown Error	400694
After Upgrade Licenses are not working	401135
DURING UPGRADE - Upgrade Stuck at: Configuring step 13 of XX - Altiris Task Management Installation...	402182
IIS module is not registered in IIS after upgrade on PS on Windows Server 2022
Provide possible ways to identify what packages need to be deleted	New report "Package Distribution Point Status" added to Notification Server Management -> Server reports folder. Report shows correct status of package distribution points.
Agent does not respect Task Agent Settings for HistoryKeepDays config	403768
Issue with CEM gateway certificate replacement	Fixed an issue related to: Gateway certificate thumbprint is not updated properly when updating/replacing Internet Gateway certificates.
Agent service stopped on remote Task Server	Fixed an issue related to: Heap corruption in aensagent.exe (Symantec Management Agent (SMA) service) that occurs when SMA on remote Site Server requests authentication token from SMP Server for a remote client and causing Agent service to stop.
IRM - Update SQLite to the latest version with security fixes	Updated SQLite from 3.49.1 to 3.50.4
SVM25-013 ITMS: Elevation of Privileges Vulnerability
Manage Software Delivery's schedule Start date decrements when Saved if TimeZone is set to Coordinate using UTC	Fixed an issue related to: When creating a Managed Software Delivery Policy and setting a schedule for Compliance, if using Timezone="Coordinate using UTC", then going into the Advanced option, and selecting a Start date that is a past date or a future date, once you select OK and Save Changes the date decrements by one day as seen by going back into the Advanced option.  If you set the date to today's date this does not occur.
'Limit maximum deferral time by' can't be saved in Maintenance Window policy for Power Action.
Package Refresh recreates snapshots with new package version.	410484

SMA does not properly identify logged on user in a hybrid EntraID joined device	Fixed an issue where: The tenant and object id to be collected and stored for users logged in using their AD accounts in hybrid environment is not captured properly since it was not supported before.  Incorrect Primary User detected on a client which is hybrid EntraID joined device.
ITMS SMA Site info goes to N/A	Fixed an issue where: Client machines occasionally lose "Site Info" in the SMA UI, which then randomly reappears after 4-7 days. The Site Info displaying as "N/A" in the SMA UI.
Upgrade ITMS failed. A lot of process w3wp started during configuration	Fixed an issue related to: During an upgrade, Net. Framework generates an exception for "out of memory". A lot of process w3wp started during upgrade. Fixed the incorrect IIS module upgrade sequence, so IIS module ends up recycling its w3wp.exe process only to load the same version of IIS module and recycle it again.

SMF (Software Management Framework) Fixes:

Changed Schedule is not replicated for Targeted Software Inventory policy	Fixed an issue around: While using Custom Targeted Software Inventory to gather data from clients, when initially this policy is created and replicated down in hierarchy to child - it would replicate the schedule. But if we would later wanted to change the schedule - new changes would be no longer replicated.
ITMS Microsoft store import Outlook package issue	Fixed an issue related to: Open ITMS Console, Navigate to Manage > Software Add Software > Import Microsoft Store package Search for Outlook for Windows Choose X64 package (same scenario with X86 and Arm64 one also) > Agree to terms and check download dependencies. Click download Result No download URLs found

INV (Inventory Solution) Fixes:

Wrong Boot Mode in System Boot Info dataclass	Fixed an issue where Client machine is using UEFI boot mode. But the collected inventory reports BIOS instead. We Improved boot mode detection. Avoid relying on localisable strings.
Inventory Agent - Update SQLite to the latest version with security fixes	Updated SQLite from 3.49.1 to 3.50.4

Software Portal does not publish the correct Command Line on the Child Management Platform server	400764

CM (Credential Management) Fixes:

Off-box upgrade corrupts WMI Credentials

Fixed an issue related to off-box upgrades. Steps to duplicate: Perform off-box upgrade to ITMS 8.7.2 or later Launch SMP Console, open 'Resource Manager' for the SMP Server itself Click View>Real-Time >Default Connection Profile Select 'Default Connection Profile' and click 'Edit' icon Scroll down to the WMI Credentials Result: Domain name is corrupted. Edit option results in Error page: The following error occurred on the page 'EditCredential.aspx'

RHEL 10 Support (ULM)	Note! This ULM pointfix doesn't provide full RHEL10 support by ITMS Solutions (DS, Patch, Monitor Solution). You will need to install "Patch_8_8_PF_v1_13Jun2025.zip" or later and "Monitor_8_8_PF_v1_13Jun2025.zip" or later We are continuing to work for a full support statement.
