Issue/Introduction

Learn how to create or register for a new Basic User Account, which provides general access to the following:

Note: The Basic User Account does not provide access to additional features such as Case Management, Downloads, or Licensing until you upgrade your access. Select one of the division links below to follow the corresponding process:

IMPORTANT: End-users with pre-approved email domain-to-company associations (e.g. BSN and Semiconductor end-users) are presented with the Company attribute, allowing their profile to be auto-upgraded to an Enterprise Profile without the need of a Support Site ID (see step 6 below).

For BSG (Broadcom software group) Effective 08/29/2024 In the event a particular site ID has no users registered, when the first site access request to this site ID is APPROVED, the requester will also be auto-granted the User Administrator & Product Administrator role.

NOTE: DO NOT REGISTER/CREATE AN ACCOUNT WITH A SHARED EMAIL ADDRESS, OR DISTRIBUTION LIST (PDL).
Use of a shared email account or a distribution list (PDL) is a security risk and a violation of the Terms of Use for the Broadcom support portal.

  4. In the email application, check for the Verification Code sent to your email address.

  5. Enter the Verification Code and click Verify & Continue.

  6. Enter your basic information, accept the Terms of Use, and click Create Account

    Note:
End-users with pre-approved email domain-to-company associations (i.e. BSN & Semiconductor end-users) will be presented with the Company attribute allowing their profile to be auto-upgraded to an Enterprise Profile.

  7. After completing the Basic User Account registration, click Yes, I want to build my profile to build and upgrade your account to unlock additional services. This provides full access to Case Management, Product Downloads, Entitlements, and other account features.
Note: Enhancing our security position. Effective November 11, 2024, Build My Profile option is not available for Users with non-corporate domains.

  8. Once the profile has been built using the company site ID, the request is directed to the customer organization's existing User Administrator. In the event that no administrator is present, Broadcom Customer Care will review and process the request.

    Processing User Access Requests

    Scenario

    Processing Details

    Timeline

Designated User Administrator from the customer's organization exists for the site ID.

The User Admin reviews and processes the request.

    • User Administrators have a 14 day window to approve/reject a request. Requests will remain in a pending status during this period.

    • To expedite the process, requestors should contact their User Administrator directly.

    • If no action is taken by the administrator within the 14 days, the system will automatically reject the request.

    No User Administrator exists.

Broadcom Customer Care will review and process the access request.

If the requester domain matches the Company Name, then the access request will be auto-approved immediately.

Else, the Customer Care team usually processes requests within 24 hours. The requestor will receive an email if more information is required.

    • Effective 08/29/2024 In the event a particular site ID has no users registered, when the first site access request to this site ID is APPROVED, the requester will also be auto-granted the User Administrator & Product Administrator role.

Site Access Rejections: Registration requests for site access are rejected if the profile uses a shared email address or distribution list (PDL).

        • If a request is rejected for this reason, a new registration must be completed using an individual corporate email address (e.g., firstname.lastname@example.com)

For enhanced self-service options, Broadcom strongly suggests that end-users designate at least one Administrator for each of their organization's Support Site IDs. Refer to the User Administrator guide for details.
