Issue/Introduction

• Upgrading vCenter via VAMI fails with error: 

  [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/storage/updatemgr/software-update#######/stage/update/patching_backup_config.json'

• In the /var/log/vmware/applmgmt/update_microservice.log we see error:

  The provided token is not entitled for accessing the Broadcom online repository for the selected version. Please provide a valid active token for the selected version.

Environment

VMware vCenter Server

Cause

The vCenter server is unable to download the RPMs due to an invalid token.

Resolution

1. Generate a valid token by following the steps at VCF authenticated downloads configuration update instructions
2. Update the download URLs in the VAMI > Update > settings. 
3. Update Lifecycle Manager depository URL at vSphere Client.
