Issue/Introduction

  • The alert "Replication in Error state" did not trigger
  • Replication state for the Replication Server shows Error, when checking the VSphere Replication UI which can be accessed through the VMware vSphere Client then navigating to the Site Recovery plugin
  • vSphere Replication Adapter instance is in Warning status when navigating to Administration > Integrations > Expand the vSphere Replication adapter 

Environment

VMware Aria Operations 8.18.x

vSphere Replication 9.x

Cause

vSphere Replication adapter was not collecting data

Resolution

  1. Sign into the VMware Aria Operations product UI at https://<Aria Ops FQDN>/ui , replacing Aria Ops FQDN with the FQDN of the Aria Operations primary node  
  2. Navigate to Administration > Integrations > Accounts > Expand vSphere Replication > Click on 3 dots beside the vSphere Replication Adapter instance> Click Stop Collecting > Click on Start Collecting and wait a 5 minute collection cycle
