Issue/Introduction

As of May 2024, the Broadcom Support Portal replaces the VMware Customer Connect portal for vSphere downloads (VMware vSphere ESXi & VMware vCenter Server), including OEM Custom Images and Addons. In order to assist with this new portal, the instructions below are intended to assist end users to navigate (find) to a desired OEM Custom Image and/or Addon.

Environment

VMware vSphere

Resolution

Log in to the Broadcom Support portal.
If you have not registered yet, register.
Log in with your registered user credentials.
On the left-hand side menu, click My Downloads.
Select the product from the list of entitled products, or search for the product you wish to download.
Use one of the below options depending on what download you are seeking.

vCenter Server Downloads

See Download vCenter Server patches and ISOs for latest releases

Full ISOs:

1. Under the Products Tab, choose the user entitlement (e.g. click on VMware vSphere - Enterprise).
2. Select the major version of vSphere required.
3. Click View Group on the right side of the vCenter Server item.
4. Use the drop-down in the upper right to choose the desired version.

Please note that some Full ISOs may be under the Solutions tab along with the patch files for some versions.

Patch ISOs:

1. Under the Solutions Tab, choose the user entitlement for (e.g. click on VMware vSphere - Enterprise).
2. Select the major version of vSphere required.
3. Find and click on the desired version of vCenter in the list.

ESXi Downloads

Full ISOs:

1. Under the Products Tab, choose the user entitlement for VMware vSphere (e.g. click on VMware vSphere - Enterprise).
2. Select the major version of vSphere required.
3. Click View Group on the right side of the VMware vSphere Hypervisor (ESXi) item.
4. Use the drop-down in the upper-right to choose the desired version.

Please note that some Full ISOs may be under the Solutions tab along with the patch files for some versions.

Patch Builds:

1. Under the Solutions Tab, choose the user entitlement for VMware vSphere (e.g. click on VMware vSphere - Enterprise).
2. Select the major version of vSphere required.
3. Find the desired version of ESXi in the list.

Custom ISOs & OEM Add-ons:

1. Under the Products Tab, choose the user entitlement for VMware vSphere (e.g. click on VMware vSphere - Enterprise).
2. Select the major version of vSphere required.
3. Select the Custom ISOs or OEM Addons tab.
4. Click on the desired Custom ISO or Addon by OEM name and ESXi version.
5. Download the desired deliverable and readme file for links to any OEM documentation.
  - Accept the Broadcom EULA by marking the checkbox, if required.
  - Address any legal, export/trade or other verification, as required.

Notes:

- - All Custom ISO and OEM Content visible in any given tab for any given version of vSphere is identical and can be used on the given OEM server and ESXi version, e.g. the “Dell Custom Image for ESXi 8.0U2 Install CD” is the same download wherever it is seen. Another way of stating this is that there is only one OEM Custom ISO and Addon download for any given OEM server and any given ESXi version, regardless of the various entitlements of vSphere.
  - You can also find the Custom ISOs and OEM Addons tabs from the VMware vSphere Hypervisor (ESXi) group under VMware vSphere - Enterprise. Here, you can filter the release specific Custom ISO or addon.
    1. Click on View Group against vSphere Hypervisor (ESXi).
    2. Select the desired ESXi release from the drop down under the Primary Downloads tab.
    3. Go to Custom ISOs or OEM Addons tab.
    4. Click on the desired Custom ISO or Addon by OEM name or ESXi version.
    5. Download the desired deliverable and readme file for links to any OEM documentation.
      - Accept the Broadcom EULA by marking the checkbox, if required.
  - For VCF 9 Custom ISOs, please navigate to the product VMware Cloud Foundation - VMware Cloud Foundation 9

Looking For Other Certified Custom ISOs or Add-ons?

For each version of vSphere (major and update releases, e.g. 8.0, 8.0U1, 8.0U2, 8.0U3, 9.0), Broadcom only hosts the single, most recent OEM Custom ISO and Addon that was certified by Broadcom.
OEMs are responsible to host any older certified Custom ISO and Add-on for any version of vSphere. Please refer to the OEM’s website for any Custom ISO or Add-on not listed here. As OEM websites are not under Broadcom control, exact URL locations are not tracked. For questions, please contact your OEM representative.

VCF AP - Async Tool Download

Use the dropdown next to Username and select VMware Cloud Foundations.
AP tool will be under "drivers and tools".
