Broadcom is pleased to announce the availability of the new Consumption Portal which provides the capability for eligible VSCP (VMware Cloud Services Provider) partners to generate & manage license keys for their end customers.
To access the new Consumption Portal, you’ll first need to request access to the support site ID listed on the ESD (electronic software delivery) letter. Click HERE for instructions on how to request site ID access.
Once your site access has been approved, you then need the Consumption Portal role applied to your Broadcom Support Portal Enterprise Profile. To request this please contact your internal User Administrator or Broadcom Global Customer Assistance.
If you have a User Administrator on your site ID, they can apply the Consumption Portal role by:
1. Logging into the Broadcom Support Portal.
2. Navigating to My Tools / Users and Permissions.
3. Searching for the user profile and click the pencil edit icon.
4. Apply the Consumption Portal role.
5. Once the role has been applied, you will receive an email confirmation sent from [email protected].
Once the role has been applied to your profile, the portal can be access by:
NOTE: You may need to first logout and log back in before the Consumption Portal Portal becomes visible.
1. Log into the Broadcom Support Portal.
2. Select My Entitlements from the left navigation menu.
3. Select the Consumption Portal tab.
From the Consumption Portal tab, you can view the following:
1. Search - Perform a search to narrow down the results.
2. End Customers tab - View a list of your customers and their associated products. To learn more about end user management, please see this video (LINK).
3. Generate License tab - Generate license keys.
4. Serial Number table - Lists all serial numbers, product details and contract start / end dates.
To generate new license keys:
1. Select the Generate License tab.
2. Select the Generate License button.
3. Enter the Quantity.
4. Select Generate.
5. Once the license keys are generated, you have the option to perform an Upgrade/Downgrade by navigating to the key and selecting the appropriate action.
For contracts booked under the Aggregate Commit Model, you must provide the end customer details using the Edit / Add Customer feature.
Select Edit Customer to search by a variety of attributes to locate and edit your customer details.

Select Add Customer to add a new customer.

As seen in the screenshot below, the Consumption Commit Contract will also appear in "My Entitlements", but the license key option will be grayed out because it can only be accessible through the consumption portal and will give you the message "Access the Consumption Portal to manage these licenses".
To raise a support case with Broadcom Support:
1. Once logged into the Broadcom Support Portal, click My Cases to be redirected to the Case Management Portal.
