Clarity PPM On Premise Clarity PPM SaaS

Issue/Introduction

Clarity's Microsoft Project (MSP) Interface has some Microsoft Project patch level requirements depending on the Clarity version and driver (new, legacy).

The "About Project" dialog shows multiple version numbers in some MSP versions, and others only show a version number that is not relevant to our patch level requirements. To avoid any confusion, do not use the "About Project" dialog when trying to find out the product version.

How can you find out Microsoft Project's product version?

Environment

Release: All

Resolution

  1. Go to the Microsoft Project installation folder. It is generally located in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Officexx, where xx is a number such as 14, 15, 16...
(Note that 32-bit versions of MSP running in 64-bit versions of Windows are installed in "Program Files (x86)" instead of "Program Files").
  2. Locate the "WINPROJ.EXE" file, right-click it and choose "Properties".
  3. Click on the "Details" tab and find the "Product version":
