How to prepare an upgrade of Dollar Universe

Issue/Introduction

What applications must be upgraded (Univiewer server / Console / Dollar Universe Nodes) and what Component must be upgraded first
Attention:

Before each upgrade of Dollar Universe, please verify the Compatibility Matrix can be downloaded as directed in the KB Dollar Universe Compatibility Matrix

Resolution

Below is the exact order for the upgrade version:

Step 1 - Upgrade your Univiewer Console (Standalone / Webconsole / Webstart)
Step 2 - Upgrade your Univiewer Management Server
Step 3 - Upgrade (if installed) Reporter and Dollar Universe Explorer
Step 4 - Upgrade your Dollar Universe

Example, if you want to Upgrade your Dollar Universe with the version 6.9.21:

Step 1 - Upgrade your Console (Standalone / Webconsole / Webstart) with the version 6.9.21 ( or more recent )
Step 2 - Upgrade your Univiewer Server with the version 6.9.21 (or more recent )
Step 3 - Upgrade your Reporter Server / Dollar Universe Explorer with the version 6.9.21 (or more recent )
Step 4 - Upgrade your Dollar Universe (DUAS) with the version 6.9.21.

Additional Information

The Golden Rule for the versions of the different components is the following:

UVC >= UVMS >= Reporter / DU Explorer >= DUAS Nodes 

Example:
UVC: 6.9.21
UVMS: 6.9.21
Reporter: 6.9.21
DU Explorer:  6.9.21
DUAS nodes: some on version 6.9.01, some others on version 6.7.41, and the rest on 6.9.21 maximum

If you want to upgrade or install a DUAS Node in version 6.10.91, then you should first upgrade UVC/UVMS/Reporter/ DU Explorer to that same version

EXCEPTION: When you upgrade UVC to v6.10.101 or higher you also have to upgrade UVMS to v6.10.101 or higher; see comments in the Download Center > Compatibility Matrix 16.10.101
