Existing collectors applicates/VMs not visible after adding new nodes in VCF Operations for Networks 9.1

Issue/Introduction

• After successfully deploying a new collector in VCF Operations for Networks 9.1, previously existing collectors are no longer visible in the operations console.
• The UI may display an incomplete list of collectors or show no collectors at all in the infrastructure views.
• The issue typically appears in:
  • Settings > Infrastructure and support > Infrastructure and updates
  • Build > Lifecycle > Component Tab > VCF Operations for Networks 9.1
• From VCF Operations for Networks GUI it shows collectors deployed but with higher versions, and gives Node version mismatch detected error, reference screenshot showing the error on collector  
  

Environment

VCF Operations for Networks 9.1.x

Cause

This issue occurs due to a metadata synchronization failure between the lifecycle management layer and the console UI when a new node is added. with higher version 
The console fails to correctly refresh the list of active collector nodes in the display database, despite the collectors remaining operational at the infrastructure level.

Resolution

Fixed in VCF Operations for Networks 9.1.x and higher.

To resolve this issue perform below workaround

1. Delete the newly deployed collector which shows node version mismatch from VCF Operations for Networks and vCenter inventory manually.
   
   
2. Perform upgrade of VCF operations for Networks from VCF 9.1 GA version to 9.1 Ep2 version.
   
   Note: Ensure to take cold snapshot of all your appliances  as per KB 314428
   
   
3. Post securing snapshots shots trigged the precheck and progress with upgrade from VCF 9.1 GA version to 9.1 Ep2 version.
   
   
4. Once the upgrade is completed for VCF operations for Networks, add new collectors which ideally should be deployed with VCF 9.1 Ep2 versions using add collector from VCF Operations GUI.

5. Deployment of Collector should be successful at this time.
   
   
6. Perform a Did meta data sync on VCF Operation GUI.
   
   
7. On VCF Operations for Networks GUI, navigate to Settings > Infrastructure and support > Infrastructure and updates to verify that all collectors (new and existing) are now listed.
   
   
8. Check under Components >VCF Operations for Networks on the VCF Operations for Network GUI, the collector(s) should now be listed showing correct version 
   
   Note: If the UI still shows an incomplete list, clear the browser cache or use a private/incognito window to rule out client-side caching of the stale view.
