Subscribe to a Broadcom knowledge article by article or product

Issue/Introduction

In addition to being able to subscribe to an individual article, you can now subscribe to a product to receive notifications on new or updated articles for your product. Learn more about Broadcom article subscriptions below. 

Note: You must be an enterprise user to be able to subscribe to articles. Basic users do not have access.

Article Subscriptions

Subscribe to an article

Subscribe from knowledge.broadcom.com (Most common)

  1. Click on the Subscribe button in the top right hand corner.
  2. If you are not already logged into the support portal, enter your login credentials when prompted to login.
  3. You will see a message temporarily appear in the top right hand corner letting you know you are subscribed successfully.
  4. If you are subscribed to an article, the Subscribe button will change to "Unsubscribe".
  5. When a change is made to an article, you will receive an email notification notifying you there is a change to the article.

Subscribe from Case Management

  1. Click on the article under the Knowledge tab of your case. See Tips to access knowledge articles from a case.
  2. Click on the Subscribe button in the top right hand corner.

  3. You will see a message appear temporarily in the top right hand corner letting you know you are subscribed successfully.
  4. If you are subscribed to an article, the Subscribe button will change to "Unsubscribe".
  5. When a change is made to an article, you will receive an email notification notifying there is a change to the article.

Unsubscribe from an article

Unsubscribe directly from an article

  1. Click on the link provided in the email you receive when the article is updated. 

  2. Click the Unsubscribe button.

Note: If you click Subscribe from the knowledge.broadcom.com version of the article, you are not automatically unsubscribed. You will be prompted to login to the Support Portal (if not already), and from that article view, you can click Unsubscribe.

Unsubscribe from your article subscription list

  1. Go to the subscribed article list.
  2. Click Unsubscribe next to the article you want to unsubscribe from.

Product Subscriptions

When you subscribe to a product, you will receive an email notification whenever an article is created or updated for the product.

Subscribe to a product

  1. Go to product subscriptions.
  2. Add your product name to the Products filter to narrow down results.
  3. Check the checkbox next to the product you want to subscribe to. 
  4. Click Save Preferences.

Unsubscribe from a product

  1. Go to product subscriptions.
  2. To narrow down your results: 
    • You can add your product name to the Products filter.
    • You can also filter by subscribed products only.
  3. Uncheck the checkbox next to the product you want to unsubscribe from.
  4. Click Save Preferences.
