Support Portal & Access Issues

Issue/Introduction

This article provides the procedure for revoking site access for a User Administrator who has left the company and granting those permissions to a new user.

The existing Enterprise user has submitted a Site ID access request, which is pending User Administrator approval.

Environment

Broadcom Support Portal
Site ID Access

Resolution

If the only assigned User Administrator (UA) for a Site ID is no longer with the organization, Broadcom Customer Care must manually process the transfer.

  1. Submit Request: The new user must have a registered Broadcom Enterprise profile.

    1. If new user, refer to Register for an account on the Broadcom Support Portal and Communities
    2. If Basic access user, see Using your Broadcom Site ID(s) for full support portal access to upgrade your Broadcom profile and map Site ID.
    3. For an additional site access, refer to Adding additional Broadcom Site IDs to an existing profile on the Broadcom Support Portal

  2. Provide Authorization: Obtain written approval (email) from a manager or higher management within the organization.
  3. Notify Current Admin: CC the existing User Administrator on the approval email.
  4. Validation Period: Broadcom Customer Care will wait 24 hours after receiving approval before revoking access.
  5. Role Assignment: Once the waiting period expires, Customer Care will revoke the former admin's access and grant site access to new user.
