Issue/Introduction

  1. The user interface administration panel displays a worker node continuously spinning with the status "Upgrading".



  2. The "upgrade.log" reports a successful deployment execution, the status synchronization routines fail to update the cluster management inventory layer.

Environment

VMware Aria Ops. : 8.14.x and 8.16.x

TCI: 2.2

Cause

A state-tracking synchronization anomaly between version 8.14.x and 8.16.x that prevents the worker node from updating the user interface inventory status database despite successful upgrade script execution.

Resolution

Steps:

  1. Revert all cluster nodes to the baseline offline snapshots captured at version 8.14.x

  2. Manually Restart the Upgrade via CLI.
