Common causes for Catalog Offerings not appearing in Service Point

Issue/Introduction

When configuring Service Management, a common task would be to integrate Service Catalog so that end users can view Catalog offerings from Service Point.  This document describes various aspects of the integration to check if the offering display is unsuccessful.

Environment

Release:  17.4 GA and above

Resolution

General steps to follow to enable integration:

  • Catalog Post Install steps.  The post install step process for Catalog is a manual activity.  One such step is to adjust the CORS configuration.

  • Service Point configuration.  You will need to review the configuration to confirm that Service Point is aware that it needs to talk to Catalog.

  • Search Server indexing.  Particularly necessary if you have added Catalog to an existing SDM/xFlow instance.
