Issue/Introduction

• Download files and binaries using VCF Download tool fails and vdt.log shows error similar with

YYYY-MM-DDThh:mm:ss.xxx+xx00 [main] ERROR [com.vmware.evo.sddc.lcm.tools.bundletransferv2.exceptionhandler.ExecutionExceptionHandler]  Application failed.
com.vmware.evo.sddc.lcm.tools.bundletransfer.exception.BundleTransferUtilityException: Unable to connect to the Depot Server
 at com.vmware.evo.sddc.lcm.tools.bundletransferv2.utils.DownloadUtil.validateDepotUser(DownloadUtil.java:409)

Caused by: com.vmware.evo.sddc.lcm.model.depot.exception.DepotConnectionFailureException: Internal error while validating credentials

 

 

• Test connection to https://dl.broadcom.com:443 using curl fail with ”Invalid token provided”

Environment

VCF Download Tool

Cause

VCF Download Tool require download token.
Enter incorrect token code or using different token (such as API token) cause of "Invalid token provided"error.

Resolution

Generate VCF Download Token follwed by steps in VCF authenticated downloads configuration update instructions
