Issue/Introduction

The VCSA GUI does not start, but the VCSA is accessiable via SSH.

When checking the service status you see many services not started:

# service-control --status

Environment

VMware vCenter 7.x
VMware vCenter 8.x

Cause

Expired certificates may be preventing the services from starting correctly.

Resolution

Check the certificates on the VCSA using vCert or one of the other KBs in the additional information section.

If you see expired certificates, take a snapshot of the VCSA VM and regenerate them using your preferred method in the additional information section.
