"New NSX Upgrade version is not compatible with the current NSX version", VCF 9.0 Upgrade Pre-Check fails during NSX compatibility check

Issue/Introduction

• VCF upgrade pre-check to 9.0 fails during NSX version compatibility check with below error message :
  
  Error:
BUNDLE_NSX PUB Bundle Upload 
New NSX Upgrade version is not compatible with current NSX version, you cannot upgrade to this version.

• Current NSX Version is 4.2.1.4 or 4.2.2.x.

Environment

VCF 9.x

Cause

This is an automated version check to ensure the intended upgrade path is supported.
NSX 4.2.1.4 and NSX 4.2.2.x are not compatible for upgrade to 9.0.0.0.0.
These releases were finalized after VCF 9.0.0.0, so the upgrade is blocked to prevent a back in time upgrade.

Resolution

This is planned and expected behaviour. A future patch on VCF 9.0 will allow this upgrade path.
