Cumulative Security Update

The Cumulative Security Update is applicable to both vRA and vRO.  Includes updates to binaries on virtual appliance(s).

Cumulative Update (Application / Product)

The Cumulative Updates (product) are unique to each product and do not include updates to binaries within the virtual appliance.

Plugins

As vRO contains a modular extensibility engine that leverages plugins, these plugins maybe periodically updated depending on the technology in question.  The most common VMware related plugins are included as reference in the Related Information section.

Best Practices

As these patches are released separately, to reach a fully patched state, it is recommended to install the Cumulative Update (product) and Cumulative Security Update (security) to each product respectively, to include any newly published plugins.

3. Run once per vRealize Automation install from the Appliance Management Interface: Cumulative Update for vRealize Automation 7.6

vRA with external vRO

1. On each vRA appliance and each external vRO appliance
   1. Cumulative Security update for vRealize Automation 7.6 and vRealize Orchestrator 7.6
   2. Cumulative Update for vRealize Orchestrator 7.6
2. Run once per vRealize Automation install from the Appliance Management Interface: Cumulative Update for vRealize Automation 7.6

vRO standalone
