App Control: Console Unavailable with HTTP Error 500.19

Issue/Introduction

After service account password change the console is unavailable with error: HTTP Error 500.19 – Internal Server Error 0x8007052e
 

Environment

• App Control Server: All Versions
• Microsoft Windows Server: All Supported Versions

Cause

• The IIS configuration was modified from default and the physical path credentials were configured
• HTTP Error 500.19 – Internal Server Error 0x8007052e - caused by a lack of permissions on the physical path

Resolution

1. Open IIS Manager > Expand the options on left > Sites
2. Select the "Parity Console Site" > Advanced Settings >  Physical Path Credentials > Set it to "Application user (pass-through authentication)"
3. Select the web server name on left > then on right > Restart Server (or in CMD run: iisreset)
