Issue/Introduction

• Agent service unable to start
• Agent reporting errors similar to:

  Cb Protection Agent detected a problem: Bit9 Agent is running as (null) instead of local system. Severity[Medium] Options[00000003] TotalFailures[2] FailureId[760]
  

Environment

• App Control Agent: All Supported Versions
• Microsoft Windows: All Supported Versions

Cause

The Agent does not support the version of Windows that is installed.

Resolution

1. Verify the OS build & Agent version are supported.
2. Verify Agent Exclusions are in place.
3. Verify the issue persists with the latest version of the Agent.
4. Uninstall the Agent and complete a new install.
