How to request CA 2E License Keys
CA 2E 8.x
When requesting CA 2E Licenses, gather the following information and open a Broadcom Support Case:
1. Broadcom Site ID that the CA 2E License should be registered to
2. Output from the following commands will confirm the CA 2E version and patch level:
DSPDTAARA Y2SY/YRLSNBRRFA
DSPDTAARA Y2SY/YFIXNBRRFA
If PTC Implementer is used with CA 2E, the following commands will confirm the PTC Implementer version and patch level:
DSPDTAARA PTCIM/ISVERSION
DSPDTAARA Y2SYCM/ISVERSION
3. The IBM iSeries OS level
4. Serial number #
5. Model #
If PTC Implementer is used, the following additional information is required:
1. Processor feature code
2. Partition ID
3. Is the license key required for the host node, receiver node or both?
1. CA 2E licenses generated from 8.1 onwards can be used all the way up to 8.7 provided that CA 2E is installed on the same machine
2. Starting with CA 2E 8.7 CUM PTF A, the requirement for license key checks from the CA 2E Product Family has been removed. Please refer to the following KB article for further details:
