Issue/Introduction

This article explains how to become a Subscription Manager for managing PLA licenses and products.

Resolution

The PLA (Portfolio License Agreement) Subscription Manager plays a crucial role for our valued Broadcom Enterprise PLA customers. Holding the position of a Subscription Manager comes with enhanced permissions, granting you the authority to efficiently oversee your PLA Subscriptions. This includes tasks like creating new SaaS instances, generating license keys, downloading products, collecting usage data, and accessing reports.

Here's a handy table that breaks down the different user types and what roles and permissions they come with:

Subscription Manager Enrollment

Enterprise users who have a PLA Site ID can request the Subscription Manager role for their profile by following these simple instructions:

  1. Go to https://support.broadcom.com.

  2. Log in and select the relevant division tile.

  3. Click on your profile dropdown and Choose "Request Site Access" from the options

  4. Now, select the "Subscription Management" tab.

  5. Toggle the appropriate Site switch and Click "Submit" to send your profile upgrade request.

  6. You can check the status of your request in "Request Site Access" to see if it's been approved or is still pending.

  7. Once approved, you'll gain the ability to manage PLA products for all PLA Site IDs associated with your profile under the "My Entitlements" option.

Important Note: If your PLA Site ID has User Administrators assigned to it, they will have 3 business days to either accept or reject your request. If the User Administrator doesn't take action within this timeframe, Broadcom Customer Care will handle the request based on our usual business procedures.
