Issue/Introduction

How do I backup/export my PGP keypair using PGP Encryption Desktop for Windows?

Resolution

  1. Click the PGP Tray lock icon in your system tray and then click Open PGP Encryption Desktop:
  2. In the PGP Keys control box, select the keyring that contains the keypair you wish to export.
  3. Right-click on the desired keypair, then click Export.
  4. In the bottom left corner of the Export Key to File window, check the box labeled Include Private Key(s).
  5. If desired, change the keypair's file name. Then choose an appropriate location in which to save the keypair and click Save.
