Reset the DCS symadmin password via the java console

Issue/Introduction

You need to reset the symadmin password and don't have access to use the database method 

Environment

DCS 6.9.x 

Cause

You don't have access to the database to reset the symadmin password the database method

Resolution

You can reset the symadmin password via the java console: 

1. Log into the java console

2. Select the "Admin" tab

3. Select the "Users" tab

4. Highlight the "symadmin" user

5. Select the "Change Password option 

6. Change the password per the criteria in the popup
