GUID displayed in report editor Type pulldown menu

Issue/Introduction

When using the Report editor, the Type pulldown menu in the Edit View dialog may display a GUID (4412724e-d2c4-4110-a97d-47a20912d302) instead of a descriptive name for certain report types.

Environment

• Client Management Suite (CMS) 8.8.1
• IT Management Suite (ITMS) 8.7.3, 8.8.x

Cause

This issue is caused by a product defect where the display name for a specific report type is not properly resolved in the UI.

Resolution

This GUID display does not introduce any functionality issues and can be safely ignored. Reports will still function correctly if this type is selected.

This issue is targeted to be fixed in a future release. Currently targeted for ITMS 8.8.2 release.
