Issue/Introduction

Moving Security Groups of computers from one OU to another in AD creates duplicate items in the SMP Console.  The AD Import will bring in the new location, but the old location is not cleaned up.

Environment

ITMS 8.5, 8.6

Resolution

This issue has been reported to the Broadcom Development team. A fix has been included with our ITMS 8.6 RU2 release.

A pointfix for ITMS 8.6 RU1 is available under KB 221269 "CUMULATIVE POST ITMS 8.6 RU1 POINT FIXES"

 

Short term workaround:
Delete the data from Inv_Security_Groups, and update ResourceUpdateSummary table, then reimport the Security Groups again.
