Rate shows different in MSP if the resource is copied and pasted into the Resource field

Issue/Introduction

There is a resource whose rate is showing a different amount on the Resource Sheet in Microsoft Project (MSP) as compared to that defined in the Rate Matrix in Clarity.

The Rate Matrix Extraction job has been completing successfully and populating the NBI_PROJ_RES_RATES_AND_COSTS table in the database with the same unexpected rate as what MSP is showing.

Cause

This can occur if the resource defined on the Rate Matrix is copied and pasted into the Resource field when adding the new row. 

Resolution

1. Edit the Matrix Row Properties and select the resource using the binoculars instead.
2. Run the Rate Matrix Extraction job.
3. The rate will then be as expected in both the database table and in MSP.
