How Can I Change SMTP Server Port for Clarity Mail Notifications?

Issue/Introduction

My SMTP mail server for mail notifications uses a port other than 25, how can I change this port in Clarity configuration?

Environment

All On Premise Clarity releases.

Resolution

In Clarity 15.9.3 or lower, it is not possible to specify a port other than 25 for SMTP mail server.

SMTP configuration can be found in CSA > Server Properties > System, where the following can be configured:

• Hostname (without port; Clarity requires port 25)
• Default sender address
• (Optional) Use Authentication, necessary if the SMTP requires user/password authentication.

In Clarity 16.0.0 or higher, port can be speficied under the Mail Server "Port" attribute.
