How to submit a device certification request for DX Netops Spectrum

Issue/Introduction

In order to expedite the submission of new Certification request, please open a Support Case and provide the information outlined below.

Environment

All releases of DX NetOps Spectrum

Resolution

Please collect all of the following:


1. Device Name;

2. Vendor Name; Model Name; Device Firmware/OS version

3. System object ID - This can be seen in the Spectrum Modeling Information area on the device in Spectrum OneClick, or by querying oid 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.2 in Mibtools;

4. Purpose (category) for the certification request:

a.    Device Certification
b.    Device re-certification (e.g. Missing serial numbers, performance views, Chassis view)
c.    New MIB support for existing certification
d.    Updating new version of existing MIB
e.    Other (please specify)

5. MIB Walk gathered using sapwalk2;
    Refer to the following article to get instrucions about how to download/use sapwalk: https://knowledge.broadcom.com/external/article/13592

6. MIB files of the device.

7. Specific requirements (e.g. specific tables or views). By default, we will presume MIB2 support only.

 

Once all of the above has been collected open a Support Case and upload the information.
