TXT parameter ignored in Java-based agent Job Messenger

Issue/Introduction

When executing jobs using the Java-based Unix agent (version 24.4.5), the TXT parameter passed to the ucxjlx6m Job Messenger utility is ignored in the job report output. This article details the symptoms and status of the defect.

Symptoms:

• The TXT parameter provided on the command line is documented but does not appear in the job report (e.g., TEXT="..." is missing).
• This behavior occurs specifically in the Windows / Unix Java-based agents version 21.x, 24.x and 26.x.
• The issue does not occur in the legacy C-based agent (version 21.x).

• Component: Agent Unix / Linux and Windows (Java-based)
• Version: 21.x, 24.x,26.x

Cause

This is an issue introduced while converting the C-based Agents to Java-based Agents tracked under defect number DE211295.

Resolution

This issue is currently under review by Engineering under Defect ID DE211295.
