Using the download tool and unable to download.

Validating depot credentials.

ERROR: Fail to obtain access token from Broadcom OAuth Authorization server.

REQUEST: Support to check connectivity to Broadcom OAuth Authorization server.

Cause

Network connectivity restricted by firewall.

Resolution

Coordinate with the local firewall team to open connectivity or use a proxy configuration.

• To use online functionalities in your VCF or vSphere Foundation platform, provide access from your environment to the following list of URLs.
  
  
• If the vCenter appliance 9.1 where vSphere Lifecycle Manager runs does not have access to the Internet, you can install VCF Download Tool (VCFDT) on a Windows operating system to download update binaries and metadata.
  
  
• In the VCF Download Tool, when using the command line options to enter the details of the proxy server, the command line pre-validates the proxy settings and the validation fails with the following error message: Unable to connect. This issue is fixed in this release. Download the latest version of the VMware Cloud Foundation Download Tool from the Broadcom Support portal and re-try the operation.
  
  
• Error: "Unable to connect to the Proxy Server" - VCF Download Tool is failing with proxy configured.
