DX Unified Infrastructure Management (Nimsoft / UIM)

Issue/Introduction

How do I get an inventory of probes in my unified infrastructure manager (UIM) environment?

Environment

Release: any version

Resolution

There is a Probe Report tool located in the bin directory C:\Program Files (x86)\Nimsoft\bin. Note that the location will vary depending on the UIM installation folder location on the filesystem.

1- locate the ProbeReport in the nimsoft/bin

2- run the probe report tool and select report> then Probe summary Report, then select the hub you want to query, you can select 1 hub or multiple hubs

3- A report will be generated, then select all and copy or Copy report to Excel or Print

The tool has the following functions available:

The ability to see what probes are being monitored from a top-level (Hub) and on a more granular level robot.

  1.  The ability to see what checkpoint's are being monitored per probe.
  2.  The ability to export this information as a csv or as excel spreadsheet.

Additional Information

Please note the Probe Report tool supports up to 1000 profiles per report.
if you selected a hub and a probe with more then 1000 profiles, you may see the error "Max limit exceeded. Try with fewer processes."

then we recommend to use the method in KB How to create a report of all UIM probe configurations
