VARA.EXEC and "Dynamic Reload" in Promptsets failing or greyed out in AWI v26

Issue/Introduction

Users may experience issues where VARA.EXEC objects used as calculated fields in Promptsets fail to display or load values in the Automic Web Interface (AWI) version 26, despite functioning correctly in the Promptset preview. This also happens with Promptset entries that have the "Dynamic Reload" checkbox checked on the definition.  This issue is a known regression.

Symptoms

• Promptsets containing VARA.EXEC calculated fields fail to populate values at runtime.
• The Promptset preview functionality functions as expected.
• The field may remain grayed out or empty during task execution.

v24 behavior is ok, the values are displayed on Combobox2 that are the contents of the vara defined on Combobox1:

v26 behavior is incorrect, the Combobox2 value is greyed out, the button with three dots to select a value is missing so no value can be selected:

• Automation Engine: v26.0.0
• AWI: v26.0.0 and newer

Cause

This issue is identified as a product defect, tracked internally as DE210371.

Resolution

Update to a fix version listed below or a newer version if available.
