Environment

  • vCenter Server 9.0.1, 9.0.2
  • Windows Server 2022, Windows Server 2025, Windows 11

Cause

This issue is caused by local environmental configurations on the host machine. Factors such as conflicting software, restrictive security policies, browser/rendering engine misconfigurations, or OS-level corruption can prevent the installer's UI framework from loading correctly.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, perform the following steps to deploy a clean environment:

  1. Provision a new, clean virtual machine running a supported operating system (e.g., Windows Server 2025).
  2. Download a fresh copy of the vCenter Server installer directly to the new virtual machine.
  3. Execute the installer or upgrade from the clean virtual machine environment.
