vCenter log collection processes attempt to collect logs from HCX Mobility Agent hosts, which triggers periodic cosmetic system error events in vCenter
This is a known issue impacting VMware Cloud Foundation 9.x . Subscribe to this KB article to be updated if a fix version becomes available.
NOTE: This issue is cosmetic and does not impact system health or functionality.
Workarounds available for 9.0 and 9.1:
Disable Audit Log Collection: Disable audit log collection in the VCF OPS UI.
VCF Ops > Operate > Administration > Configurations > Log Collection > vCenter >vCenter_name >(Edit) and disable ESX Logs and ESX Audit Logs under the ESX section. Note: Disable the log collection only if absolutely needed, else wait for next future release to be available for upgrade.
Disable Unused Services: If HCX vMotion or Replication Assisted vMotion (RAV) services are not in use, disable them in the HCX Service Mesh to undeploy the Mobility Agent
