In VMware vCenter Server 9.1 environments integrated with HCX, repeated general system error events are generated every two minutes. The affected object is typically identified as an HCX Edge / Mobility Agent host (e.g., host-14XX / x.x.x.102).
Update option values: A general system error occurred
VMware vCenter Server 9.1
vCenter log collection processes attempt to collect logs from HCX Mobility Agent hosts, which triggers periodic cosmetic system error events in vCenter
This issue is cosmetic and does not impact system health or functionality. A permanent fix will be included in VCF 9.1.2, which excludes Mobility Agent hosts from log collection.
Workarounds available prior to VCF 9.1.2:
Disable Audit Log Collection: Disable audit log collection in the Log Management UI.
Disable Unused Services: If HCX vMotion or Replication Assisted vMotion (RAV) services are not in use, disable them in the HCX Service Mesh to undeploy the Mobility Agent
