Metric names missing in DX SaaS APM alarms when using Combination ALL

Issue/Introduction

Users may observe that alarm payloads are missing metric names and individual attribute details. Additionally, the notification channel settings page in APM may appear as a blank screen when attempting to view parameters.

Symptoms

• Alarm payloads show metric_name as null or missing.
• The ci_unique_id attribute is missing from the alarm.
• Accessing notification channel parameters under APM settings results in a blank page

Environment

• DX SaaS
• DX Operational Observability
• DX Application Performance Management (APM)

Cause

When the Alert combination is set to ALL, the alert engine aggregates matching metrics into a single event, which currently prevents individual metric details from being included in the payload.

Resolution

To restore metric visibility and attribute population, follow the below steps:

1. Navigate to the APM Alert configuration.
2. Locate the Combination field under Metric Groupings.
3. Change the value from ALL to ANY.
4. Save the configuration.
