"No Preds" button adds components with predecessors in Job/Process Flow Selector - Applications Manager

Issue/Introduction

In the Applications Manager Job/Process Flow Selector, clicking the No Preds button adds components with "Success" (green) predecessor links to the currently selected component, rather than adding them at the top level without any links.

Symptoms

• When a component is highlighted in the Process Flow editor, clicking No Preds in the Jobs/Process Flow window automatically creates a predecessor link from the highlighted component to the new one.
• The new component is not always placed at the top level of the flow as intended.

Environment

Applications Manager 9.6, 9.6.1, and 9.6.2

Cause

This issue is caused by a software defect identified in DE208910. The selector logic fails to clear the predecessor relationship when the No Preds option is selected if another component is active in the editor.

Resolution

Targeted to be fixed in release 9.7/10.0.

Workaround:

1. Open the Jobs/Process Flow window.
2. In the Process Flow editor, click on the Process Flow Header (the title text at the top) so that it is highlighted in blue.
3. Manually add the component as required
