Clone button does not copy predecessor link in Job/Process Flow Selector - Applications Manager

Issue/Introduction

In the Applications Manager Job/Process Flow Selector, using the Clone button fails to copy the specific predecessor link type defined for the selected object.

Symptoms

• When a component is selected that has a "Started" (yellow) or other non-success predecessor link, the cloned component is added using a "Success" (green) predecessor link instead.
• The manual predecessor type must be adjusted after every clone operation.

Environment

Applications Manager 9.5 and above

Cause

This issue is caused by a software defect identified in DE208914. The clone logic was not correctly inheriting the link state during the component addition process.

Resolution

Fixed in release 10.0 or 9.7 and higher. 

Users are encouraged to subscribe to this article to be updated on any changes to the fix status.

Workaround:

1. Add the component using the Clone button.
2. Manually edit the component and change the predecessor link type to the desired state (e.g., Started).
3. Apply changes to save.
