Issue/Introduction

Dashboards in DX SaaS, specifically Out-of-the-Box (OOTB) Unified Monitoring Agent (UMA) dashboards for OpenShift or Kubernetes, take a significant amount of time to load. In some environments, the loading time exceeds two minutes or fails to complete.

Symptoms

  • Dashboards remain in a loading state for several minutes.
  • The UI appears unresponsive while waiting for dashboard widgets to populate.
  • Internal analysis shows high response times from the Query History API.

Environment

  • DX SaaS
  • DX Operational Intelligence
  • OpenShift / Kubernetes Environments with high metric/edge volume

Cause

This issue is caused by a technical limitation in the Query History API. When a query is triggered for a tenant with a high volume of edges and versions (e.g., >800K edges), a large number of forks must be loaded into the cache. This increase in cache size and load time impacts the overall API response time.

Resolution

This issue is currently under engineering review and is targeted to be fixed in a future release. The optimization is tracked via enhancement request US1108736 and defect DE668402.
