Pendo banner is blocked in Microsoft Edge - DX SaaS

Issue/Introduction

The Pendo banner (Welcome Banner) used for notifications and resources in DX SaaS is blocked when using the Microsoft Edge browser. This typically occurs due to browser security settings or network policies that restrict third-party content from pendo.io.

Symptoms

• The Welcome Banner does not appear when logging into DX SaaS.
• Browser Developer Tools (Network tab) show blocked requests to pendo.io.
• Users are unable to view important notifications or access the Resources section.

Environment

• DX SaaS
• Microsoft Edge Browser

Cause

Microsoft Edge security settings or corporate group policies block third-party scripts and content from the pendo.io domain, which is used to render the internal banner.

Resolution

There is no immediate browser-side workaround if corporate policies prohibit exceptions for pendo.io.

This requirement is addressed via Enhancement F160803: WelcomeBanner - Add Customizable Details by Tenant Admin, which allows for alternative notification methods.
