Issue/Introduction

During a VCF 9.1 deployment or upgrade, VCF Operations for Networks (vRNI) and VCF Operations for Logs binaries are missing from the Build > Software Depot or Binary Management catalog. This occurs even after successful online or offline depot synchronization.

Environment

VCF Operations 9.1

Cause

In VCF 9.1, VCF Operations for Networks and VCF Operations for Logs are no longer included in the core offline depot metadata. These components must be handled as standalone bundles rather than part of the integrated SDDC Manager depot manifest.

Resolution

Manually upload components as standalone packages in VCF 9.1:

1. Download specific VCF Operations for Networks 9.1 standalone installer bundle from the Broadcom Support Portal.
2. Log in to the VCF Operations UI.
3. Navigate to Build > Software Depot.
4. Use the Upload function to add the standalone bundle to the local repository.
5. Return to Build > Tasks and restart the deployment task once the binary is visible.

Additional Information

If stale metadata from a previous 9.0 environment is preventing the deployment task from restarting, refer to KB 441858 for remediation steps.
