Issue/Introduction

Broadcom is committed to ensuring the highest quality of communication and security for our customers.  We are proactively monitoring reports regarding potential email formatting behaviors—such as text misalignment or paragraph spacing issues—that may occur when messages are processed through encryption mail streams.

While these behaviors are often environmental and very rare (related to how different mail clients (e.g., Microsoft Outlook, gmail, etc) interact with standard encryption protocols), this article provides guidance on how to ensure your messages maintain their intended layout.

Resolution

Formatting and alignment variations are not typical of PGP Encryption Cloud Server, but rather a byproduct of "MIME-parsing."

When an email is encrypted, the PGP Encryption Server must parse the original message and re-package it.

Layout changes can occur for various reasons, but are not anticipated.
