Issue/Introduction

Updating the VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) Cloud Account credentials in Aria Automation results in the "Save" button remaining disabled. This prevents applying new passwords for the NSX manager endpoint.

Symptoms:

  • The "Save" button is greyed out after entering a new NSX manager password.
  • The following error appears during health check validation: Endpoint validation failed during health check: FAILED with Failed to validate credentials. Error: Unable to validate endpoint of type nsxt with hostname: ####
  • Direct login to NSX Manager works, but Aria Automation fails to validate.

Environment

  • Aria Automation 8.18.x
  • VCF Cloud Account
  • NSX Manager

Cause

A user interface limitation in Aria Automation 8.18 prevents the "Save" button from dynamically enabling after an NSX manager credential update. The UI requires a re-validation of the associated vCenter endpoint to refresh the global state of the Cloud Account.

Resolution

Workaround: To enable the Save button, perform the credential validation in this exact sequence:

  1. Validate the vCenter credentials.
  2. Validate the NSX credentials.
  3. Validate the vCenter credentials again.

The UI will refresh, and the Save button will become available.
