Disk Space metrics missing from reports in Aria Operations for vSphere clusters

Issue/Introduction

• All the clusters on the report are part of the same vCenter.
• All the affected cluster are part of the same datacenter.
• On the cluster object in Aria operations on the metrics tab the metrics "Disk Space | Utilization" and "Disk Space|  Total Capacity" are not listed.
• All the clusters in the report, affected and not affected, have been assigned to the same policy.
• After manually activating the metrics "Disk Space | Utilization" and "Disk Space|  Total Capacity" on the object assigned policy the issue still persisted.
• Collection for the vCenter adapter is working as expected without warnings .
• On the working cluster we can see the metrics "Disk Space | Utilization" and "Disk Space|  Total Capacity"  are collected on the object.

Environment

Aria Operations 8.18.x

Cause

The policy was not correctly applied to the assigned objects by Aria Operations.

Resolution

To force the policy to be applied to the objects:

1. Redescribe the adapter as per documentation VMware Aria Operations Adapter Redescribe
2. If the above does not fix the issue, reboot the Aria Operations cluster as per KB Rebooting nodes in Aria Operations
