Flow information not displayed for Generic Switch - VCF Operations for Networks

Issue/Introduction
Real-time flow information fails to display in the user interface when monitoring traffic from unsupported core switches, such as the HP Aruba 8400, in VCF Operations for Networks.
This behavior occurs even when the device is added successfully using the "Generic Switch" profile.

Cause
VCF Operations for Networks natively restricts active flow ingestion (NetFlow/sFlow) and dynamic SNMP polling to validated, supported vendor hardware profiles.
The Generic Switch feature is designed strictly for static topology mapping via .zip configuration uploads and does not include a parsing engine for real-time flow data or performance metrics.
Packet captures on the collector node may show ingress traffic on UDP port 6343, but the data remains unparsed due to the lack of a native driver profile.
Resolution
To achieve native, real-time network flow monitoring, use a supported physical network device hardware profile.
- Verify the hardware model is on the supported physical device list. For HPE, this currently includes the 5940, 5900/5930, and 10500 Series.
- Deploy a supported hardware profile to the environment.
- Review the product documentation to ensure the specific firmware version is compatible with the parsing engine.
- Download the latest supported software and drivers at Download Broadcom products and software.
