RoleDefGenerator.sh missing or failing in Identity Suite v15

Issue/Introduction

Missing RoleDefGenerator.sh script in the Identity Suite v15 tools package prevents the generation of required JAR files for custom endpoints. 

 

Environment

• Identity Suite v15.0
• Identity Manager

Cause

The shell script is not bundled in the initial v15.0 distribution. Furthermore, the script fails when required libraries in the main lib directory are not positioned correctly relative to the tool's execution path.

Resolution

Open a Support case if you need this tool under version 15.0. Follow these steps to restore functionality after you receive the script:

1. Verify the RoleDefGenerator.sh script exists in the tools/RoleDefinitionGenerator/bin/ directory.
2. Ensure the main lib folder from the tools package sits at the same hierarchical level as the RoleDefinitionGenerator folder.
3. Apply executable permissions using chmod +x RoleDefGenerator.sh.
4. Execute the script to generate the necessary JAR file.

Targeted to be fixed in release 15.0.1.
